DCCC Attacks Democrat Candidate As President Trump’s Approval Rating Increases

Democrats are truly in disarray.

A Rasmussen poll released today just gave Democrats the news they feared the most. Take a look:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-nine percent (49%) disapprove.

Just so we’re clear: A week after one of the deadliest school shootings in history, where President Trump proposed modest gun-control initiatives and liberals screamed bloody murder and called Republicans child killers, it doesn’t appear that the President’s approval rating has been hurt at all. In fact, it’s increasing.

This just puts another dint in Democrats’ hopes for the midterm elections. Already, congressional Republicans had a slight polling advantage over Democrats. But many Democrats were counting on demonizing Trump to win. Now it looks like that strategy is over and done.

It’s gotten so bad that now the Democratic National Committee is panicking, and has decided to attack one of their own. Dave Weigel of The Washington Post reports,

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is taking fire from the left after months of relative peace, thanks to a document put online the night of Feb. 22 — a collection of opposition research on Laura Moser, a progressive candidate in Texas’s competitive 7th Congressional District.

As Moser was attending a campaign event, the DCCC posted a short but brutal collection of hits on Moser that would be likely used against her if she won the Democratic nomination. The 7th District is one of 23 where Hillary Clinton outpolled Donald Trump in 2016, while voters sent a Republican congressman to Washington.

“Democratic voters need to hear that Laura Moser is not going to change Washington,” the committee wrote. “She is a Washington insider, who begrudgingly moved to Houston to run for Congress.”

Hey, that sounds like a Republican attack ad! Can you believe the Democrats have turned on each other? It looks like they’ve utterly failed to damage President Trump, so now have resorted to infighting.

What the goal of attacking each other is isn’t clear. But it bodes well for Trump and the Republicans this fall!
