CNN Says It’s Racist to Criticize Antifa – Here’s What America Really Thinks

CNN is defending Antifa again. In showing that he really does judge a book by its cover, Don Lemon said “It says it right in the name: Antifa. Anti-fascism, which is what they were there fighting.” Of their violent tactics, he said “listen, no organization is perfect,” before justifying their violence because it’s directed against “racist fascists.”

CNN’s chief legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin had a more head-scratching take, claiming that Trump’s criticism of Antifa is an “appeal to racism” while stating the group “is widely perceived as an African-American organization.” “Let’s be clear also about what’s going on here, the theme here is ‘I’m Donald Trump and I’ll protect you from the scary black people,’ ” Toobin said. “Antifa is widely perceived as an African-American organization and this is just part of the same story of LeBron James and Don Lemon and Maxine Waters and the NFL players and the UCLA basketball players,” Toobin added.

Is there a single person that associated “Antifa” with “black people”? Toobin is perhaps the only one.

Antifa is a decentralized group, so there are no records of their members that we can glean demographics from. A study of antifascist activists/protesters in Europe found that 92% live with their parents and that 84% are male, 72% between the ages of 18-29, and 34% are unemployed, but no racial data.

So with little to go off of, one way to disprove the thesis that most Antifa members are black is to look at their mugshots. And when we do that, there’s a tsunami of white.

There have been more diverse Klan rallies than the mishmash of anti-fascists seen above.

If pundits like Lemon and Toobin want to associate themselves and their fellow Democrats with Antifa, that’ll do more to help the Republican Party than their own. According to Rasmussen Reports, “just 24% of Likely U.S. Voters have a favorable opinion of the Antifa protesters, with eight percent (8%) who view them Very Favorably. Fifty-eight percent (58%) share an unfavorable opinion of these protesters, including 40% who have a Very Unfavorable one.”

The more Antifa is associated with the Democratic Party of today, the better. President Donald Trump says that those in the media are the enemy of the people, and CNN continues to prove it.
