Overriding the objections of a few members and passing it by a voice vote, the Congress passed the $2 trillion coronavirus economic relief package Friday afternoon.
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) did indeed ask for a roll call vote, but enough members were present to override him. He was not happy.

Massie tweeted, “It’s pretty clear now, with enough members here to pass the bill, that Pelosi and McCarthy are still working together to block a recorded vote just to insulate members of Congress from ACCOUNTABILITY.
Biggest spending bill in the history of mankind, and no recorded vote? #SWAMP.”
However, most members on both sides of the aisle and the president were happy with the outcome.
Both sides attempted to take credit and the Democrats are already preparing their socialist wish list for another bill.

The GOP and the president are waiting to see the effect of this bill and the status of the virus before promising another piece of legislation.
The credit? Most of it will justly accrue to the president and his team.
