CNN’s Angela Rye Refuses to Admit that Donald Trump is Her President

CNN contributor Angela Rye has done everything she can to spread the idea that President Trump is not her Commander-in-Chief. On a Monday segment, she went to great lengths saying over and over again how she didn’t recognize Trump as her president.

That’s when Republican Rep. Jack Kingston responded. And, boy, was it epic!

Angela Rye, the former executive director of the Congressional Black Caucus and CNN contributor, refused to accept on CNN on Monday that President Trump is the president of the United States.

Arguing with former Rep. Jack Kingston (R-GA), Rye said, “There are a lot of things that your president has done to defy logic.”

“Your president, too, Angela. Your president too,” Kingston responded with a smile.

“He’s your president,” Rye shot back.

“The president of the United States,” CNN host John Berman said as he concluded the segment, seemingly agreeing with Kingston.

Here’s why I am not pressed to start calling Rye any type of names. It is ironic when eight years ago, many Republicans said Barack Obama was not their president. Now with Trump in office, it’s the Democrats turn to say, “not my President.”

You don’t have to say or even believe it, but if you are an American citizen, I’m sorry to break the news, but Trump is, in fact, your president. I never claimed Obama to be my president while he sat in the Oval Office. But I didn’t go around publicly saying that. I knew in my heart what we conservatives needed to do politically and we were able to win this past election with Trump.
