Chris Wallace Grills Rep Donna Edwards “Have Liberal Policies Failed Baltimore City?”

Donna Edwards

Chris Wallace, host of “Fox News Sunday, challenged Rep. Donna Edwards (D-MD) on the leadership in Baltimore in the wake of unrest involving the death of Freddie Gray.

“Baltimore has not had a Republican mayor in 50 years,” Wallace said. “Is it unfair to say the liberal policies have failed the city of Baltimore?”

Edwards attempted to counter by arguing that the schools have failed due to a lack of even funding.

Congresswoman, let me remind of you of the old quote regarding your education excuse, per the saying, you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink.

It’s obvious many children don’t want to drink the water of education in Baltimore (look at 50% non attendance for high school) no matter how much money is spent per child. The want for an education starts in the home. Money is not the issue here, changing the culture is, and until the culture is changed no amount of money will fix the problem and Edwards is a huge part of the problem.

Democrats have run Baltimore forever. And blacks are the majority of the elected officials. There is NO WAY they can blame this on the white power structure. They have spent a fortune on poverty and welfare programs, to no avail. And despite all these problems, their solution is more of the same — spend more taxpayer money.

Wallace’s question was plain and simple and didn’t need to be broken down to understand. Edwards shifted the focus to another area. America is tired of this! Sometimes you just have to wonder how and why do these people get elected.
