This seriously changes everything. We may have finally gotten to the bottom of why the Florida school shooter was able to take the life of 17 of his fellow students.
Previously, we reported that on-duty police officers at the site of the shooting neglected to enter the building while the shooting was ongoing, which could have cost an untold number of lives. Then the Broward County Sheriff attempted to defend his department, despite the clear cowardice displayed by his officers.
Now we just received shocking news that the on-duty deputies were ordered not to engage with the shooter or enter the building.
That’s right: the officers may have been given the order to stand down. The Daily Wire reports: “On Monday, Fox News host Laura Ingraham revealed in an exclusive that Broward County Sheriff’s Deputies were supposedly told not to enter Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School unless they had body cameras on, which they did not have.”

If this is true, it’s bureaucratic ineptness on a massive level. And it represents a massive failure on the part of the Broward County Sheriff department, putting the bodies of the 17 victims squarely at its feet.
Surely, if the order was given to deputies not to enter the building without body cameras, it was given to meet some regulatory standard. But why wasn’t personal judgement used to overrule that order? Kids were dying; a shooter was on the loose. Was it really worth checking off that last requirement before lives could be saved?
If Ingraham’s allegations are true, it’s time for Sheriff Scott Israel to resign. Now.
