Did Christine Blasey Ford Develop a Fear of Flying Just Two Months Ago?

Well, this looks suspicious.

Christine Blasey Ford, the one who originally accused Brett Kavanaugh of sexual harassment, may have just been caught in another lie. At the very least, it’s another contradiction in her story that has, so far, had more holes poked in it than Swiss cheese.

Ford is, as of this writing, set to testify this Thursday before the Senate Judiciary Committee on her allegations that Brett Kavanaugh assaulted her in high school.

That’s good! Ford should be testifying and we can judge her story from there. So far, she has no witnesses to corroborate her account.

This acceptance to testify comes after Ford was not so willing to assist the Senate Judiciary Committee in their investigation. Last week, we reported that Ford was reluctant to testify because she had a fear of flying. (RELATED: Christine Blasey Ford Indicates She Doesn’t Want to Fly to Testify.) It was a strange announcement to make, especially when it was done after her lawyer confirmed that she’d be willing to testify before Congress.

Why would Ford’s attorney say she was willing to testify if she wasn’t ready to get on a plane to do it?

Regardless of the reason, Ford still confirmed that she’d show up to the meeting of the Senate Judiciary Committee. But now we’re getting evidence that may show that the “fear of flying” may have just been a delay tactic.

Senator Chuck Grassley was finally able to release the original letter Ford sent to Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California. Take a look at the text:

Notice the last part of the letter. She says she’s vacationing in the Mid-Atlantic. That means the area surrounding Washington, D.C., which runs from New York to Virginia.

Now that’s curious. Ford was vacationing in the Washington, D.C., area at the end of July. But she was unwilling to go to Congress to testify on her own behalf because of a fear of flying.

It’s entirely possible that Ford and her family drove across the country to whatever Mid-Atlantic destination she was visiting. Or they could have taken a train. Or, heck, they could have hitch-hiked.

Still, expressing reluctance to travel to Washington, D.C., despite being in the same geographical region just two months ago is a strange claim to make. And I’m not the only one who noticed.

Let’s hope Ford can get over her fear of flying to actually testify this Thursday. If there is one more delay in the process, we’ll know for sure that it’s a sham.

Of course, many of us have long suspected that it is one.
