On Tuesday, a woman who was believed to be a reporter for Spanish-language network Univision told Vice President Kamala Harris that in the 2020 U.S. presidential election, she voted for her and President Joe Biden.
The woman made the remark during a press briefing in Mexico.
Before asking Harris a question, the woman identified as Maria Fernanda said, “It’s an honor…. I voted for you.”
But the woman who was called on doesn’t work for Univision, it was a case of mistaken identity.

During that press conference, Fernanda was called on by a member of Harris’s staff.
Before Fernanda got to her question, she said to Harris, “Thank you, Madame Vice President. For me, it’s an honor because I actually got to vote for the first time as a naturalized citizen and I voted for you.”
Yet, afterward suspicions were raised about the woman identified as Maria Fernanda.
Reporter Noah Bierman tweeted, “Not sure I’ve ever seen a reporter tell a politician that she voted for her, as a Univision reporter just did during the Kamala Harris news conference before asking a question.”
The President of News for Univision in the United States Daniel Coronell wrote in a statement after the press conference that Fernanda is not associated with Univision.
Coronell further stated that Fernanda does not work for the news outlet.
Coronell wrote, “In Mexico an individual (who) has no association with Univision claimed to be a reporter for UniNoticias in order to ask (Vice President Kamala Harris) a question and to compliment (Kamala Harris).”
“Let it be clear to everyone that Ms. Maria Fernanda Reyes is not part of this media organization,” Coronell emphasized.
Fox News claims to have solved the mystery – the Fernanda who asked the question apparently has a similar name to an actual reporter.
Fox reports: “Fernanda, whose full name is Maria Fernanda Reyes, is not a reporter for Univision and spoke with Fox News in a phone call late Tuesday. So why didn’t she immediately correct the moderator? Reyes says she got caught up in the moment and was surprised to be even called upon.”
The Univision reporter is named Maria Fernanda Lopez, not Maria Fernanda Reyes.
Kamala Harris spokesman Symone Sanders admitted the goof, and is looking into it.

Lies built on lies. Tell Secret Service to pull their Democrat-thumbs out of their collective rears.
Harris has to hire people to swoon over her !!!!lThat woman got one hell of a check to show her stupidity on TV!!!!
So the reporter is as phony as Heels Up Harris?
Maybe he can marry Michael Robinson on the rebound.
Anyone who admits to voting for this lazy, lying s@¢k of ¢r@p should be tossed in prison right alongside them.
Nope
I think they are not looking into anything. Typical democratic plan , hide and sweep under a rug
The only thing unsurprising about this is that a reporter, ANY reporter, not only voted for Biden-Harris, they shove the fact in everybody's face. This is what passes for reporting these days. In other words, there are few, if any, actual reporters or journalists anymore. Journalism's been deceased for years.
Can't see any sort of a problem here. If this woman wants to lower her states then what business is it of any one else's?
