Biden Will Make Vaccines Mandatory For Federal Employees, Says Unvaccinated Americans ‘Not Nearly As Smart As I Thought You Were’

On Tuesday, President Biden discussed the possibility of mandatory vaccines for federal employees, and took a shot at the intelligence of Americans who have chosen not to get the COVID shots.

Biden told reporters early on Tuesday that the vaccine mandate was “under consideration.”

He then took the rather curious tact of shaming those who remain unvaccinated for a variety of reasons.

When asked about the possible mandatory vaccines, Biden replied, “That’s under consideration right now, but if you’re not vaccinated you’re not nearly as smart as I thought you were.”

He added, “We have a pandemic because of the unvaccinated, and they’re sowing enormous confusion.”

CNN is reporting that President Biden will in fact announce a vaccine requirement for federal employees on Thursday.

“The announcement will come in remarks where Biden is also expected to lay out a series of new steps, including incentives, in an attempt to spur new vaccinations,” according to the network.

Mandatory Vaccines Are Coming

Attacking Americans who are hesitant in getting the vaccine as ‘not smart’ seems an unlikely path to changing their minds.

The catchphrase that Democrats have settled on – ‘pandemic of the unvaccinated’ – is curious as well.

One only needs to look at the six Texas Democrats who took a maskless flight out of state and ended up testing positive for COVID, despite reportedly being fully vaccinated.

President Biden went on to suggest that America would be living lockdown-free if not for those unvaccinated people.

“The more we learn about this virus and the Delta variation, the more we have to be worried and concerned,” he said. “And there’s only one thing we know for sure, if those other hundred million people got vaccinated, we’d be in a very different world.”

According to an NBC News report last week, former officials from the Obama administration have been urging the Biden administration to issue vaccine mandates once the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) grants full approval to one or more of the shots.

He seems to be getting a jump on that.

Vaccines And Masks

Biden’s comments on mandatory vaccines came shortly after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended that fully vaccinated Americans start wearing masks again indoors under certain circumstances.

His push for the vaccine mandate combined with the CDC’s proclamation that the jab isn’t enough to continue ditching masks will no doubt undermine confidence in the vaccinations.

Just a couple of short months ago, President Biden threatened Americans with perpetual masking if they did not get the vaccine.

“The rule is now simple: get vaccinated or wear a mask until you do,” Biden tweeted. “The choice is yours.”

Imagine having based your vaccination decision solely on the idea that you’d be able to ditch the masks if you did so.

We’ve come a long way – mostly backward – since Biden promised Americans a “summer of freedom” from the pandemic.

“America is heading into a summer dramatically different from last year’s summer. A summer of freedom. A summer of joy. A summer of get-togethers and celebrations,” he vowed less than two months ago.

“An all-American summer that this country deserves after a long, long dark winter that we have all endured.”

That doesn’t seem to be the case any longer. Sounds like it’s going to be a summer of darkness – pandemic-wise, economically, and regarding our freedoms.
