After President-elect Joe Biden is sworn in as the 46th president of the United States on Wednesday, he is promising to immediately issue an executive order that would reverse President Donald Trump’s directive on transgender bathrooms.
In 2017, the incoming Trump administration revoked a federal rule implemented by President Barack Obama that extended Title IX protections to transgender students.

Biden Plans Slew Of Executive Orders On ‘Day One’
This measure allowed transgender students to use bathrooms and other gender specific facilities that correlated with their gender identities as opposed to just their biological sex.
This is not the only executive order Biden plans right out of the gate.
Fox News reported on Tuesday, “Biden has already begun to lay out his two-step plan to tackle the ongoing coronavirus crisis, and has promised to immediately undo several moves made by President Trump, including his decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord.”

‘Biden Is Prepared To Sign Nearly A Dozen Executive Orders’
Biden’s executive order that would benefit transgender students is supposed to happen on his first day in office.
“Biden is prepared to sign nearly a dozen executive orders on his first day in the Oval Office, on issues ranging from the pandemic to a travel ban on predominantly Muslim countries,” Fox News noted.
Without these Title IX protections, states have been free to to make their own rules regarding this issue. Critics of Obama’s directive say that it was federal overreach.

Biden-Harris Website Touts Administration’s LGBT Agenda
Biden’s President-elect website has an LGBT page that states, “On his first day in office, Biden will reinstate the Obama-Biden guidance revoked by the Trump-Pence Administration, which will restore transgender students’ access to sports, bathrooms, and locker rooms in accordance with their gender identity.”
Fox News reports, “Some of the other policies he intends to promote and implement include protecting the LBGTQ+ community from violence, ensuring access to high-quality health care and ensuring fair treatment in the criminal justice system.”
