Senator Bernie Sanders attempted to throw a grenade at Donald Trump’s credibility yesterday – and ended up just throwing the pin.
He sent out the following tweet last night, attacking the Trump Administration’s crackdown on voter fraud and push for voter ID.
If you cannot win an election based on your ideas, then get the hell out of politics.

Well, speak for yourself, buddy. It’s Republicans who took back 1,042 seats at the federal, state, and local level during Obama’s presidency. And it was Republicans who won every special election under the Trump presidency thus far.
And, of course, it’s an incredibly ironic insult to make. Bernie couldn’t win his lengthy primary campaign against Hillary Clinton. And Clinton couldn’t even beat Trump.
So maybe both Bernie and Hillary should get the hell out of politics, right?
The rest of the internet was quick to pile on Bernie’s embarrassing statement:

Agreed. Accordingly, every single Democrat politician should resign forthwith.
