The House Select Committee on Benghazi issued their scathing report earlier today, which definitively revealed that the Obama administration – including then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton – deliberately crafted a lie to the American people involving an obscure anti-Muslim YouTube video.
Chairman Trey Gowdy has been consistently critical of Democrats on the committee who were only there for show, as they attempted to stonewall the investigation every step of the way. They were protecting Clinton’s presidential aspirations, just as she had in protecting Obama’s in the days after the Benghazi attack in 2012.
During a press conference, Gowdy slammed Democrats who had no interest in getting to the truth, ever.
His best comment came, perhaps inadvertent or perhaps cleverly intentional, when discussing ranking Democrat committee member Rep. Elijah Cummings.
Gowdy backhandedly stated that Cummings is not a “fair-minded American” and has no interest in what happened to the four Americans who gave their lives during the attack.

In a heated moment following a reporter’s question, Gowdy said some people – including Democrats – will simply not be swayed by this report and will continue to claim there is no new information in it.
He said Democrats also now argue that the details of the report will not “fundamentally change” the way the attack is viewed.

Gowdy said Democrats, like ranking committee member Rep. Elijah Cummings, are not going to change their minds.
“He’s not my audience. My audience are reasonable fair-minded Americans who want to know what happened to four of their fellow citizens and I think they can draw their own conclusions.”

The Benghazi report clearly shows that Hillary and others in the Obama administration spent more time concocting a lie than working on saving American lives or finding out what actually happened.
In fact, Gowdy was thoroughly dismayed at White House officials who in an e-mail in the midst of the attack essentially didn’t consider it a “real threat.”
“What the hell was going on in Benghazi?! Was that not a real threat that emerged?” he asked.
It was a real threat. But the Obama administration had an election to win, so instead of pursuing the truth they slowly turned the narrative towards an obscure internet video. That way Americans wouldn’t think the President had allowed a terrorist attack to have taken place weeks before they went out to the polls.
Let that sink in for a moment – Obama and Hillary were more concerned about holding onto power than saving American lives or getting to the truth. They, like Cummings, are not “fair-minded Americans who want to know what happened to four of their fellow citizens.”
