Attorney General William Barr slammed the media for their responses to the ongoing antifa rioting after they labelled violent mobs as “peaceful.”
Barr: “It Is An Assault On The Government Of The United States”
Speaking to the House Judiciary Committee, Barr addressed the media’s response to the violent “protestors” seen in cities like Portland, Seattle, and Chicago, that have occurred in the wake of George Floyd’s death. While violence is extremely common, the media loves to portray them as peaceful innocent events, a completely false narrative.
“What unfolds nightly around the courthouse [in Portland] cannot reasonably be called a protest; it is, by any objective measure, an assault on the Government of the United States,” Barr told the Committee.
“In recent nights, rioters have barricaded the front door of the courthouse, pried plywood off the windows with crowbars, and thrown commercial-grade fireworks into the building in an apparent attempt to burn it down with federal personnel inside,” he added.

“Peaceful Protestors Do Not Throw Explosives Into Federal Courthouses”
“A recent video showed a mob enthusiastically beating a Deputy U.S. Marshal who was trying to protect the courthouse – a property of the United States government funded by this Congress – from further destruction,” Barr explained.
“A number of federal officers have been injured, including one severely burned by a mortar-style firework and three who have suffered serious eye injuries and may be permanently blind.”
However, the media have been portraying these violent animals as totally peaceful individuals.
“To state what should be obvious, peaceful protesters do not throw explosives into federal courthouses, tear down plywood with crowbars, or launch fecal matter at federal officers,” Barr continued. “Such acts are in fact federal crimes under statutes enacted by this Congress.”

A Totally False Narrative!
I couldn’t agree more with Barr – the “protestors” are violent rioters that need to be cracked down upon, but the media don’t want you to know that! They want to keep a narrative that these are good boys and girls who did nothing wrong, and are just against racism, but really, they are hardcore Marxists who want to overthrow the government.
