AOC Mocked For Calling Women ‘Menstruating People’ As She Attacks Texas Abortion Law

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) became the subject of ridicule after a politically-correct rant in which she described women as “menstruating people.”

AOC made an attempt to school Texas Governor Greg Abbott regarding women’s bodies and how that knowledge plays a role in the state’s new abortion law.

The Texas law prohibits abortions after once medical professionals can detect a heartbeat.

The New York socialist sought to express that some people don’t become aware of pregnancy right away in some cases.

The result was a catastrophic word salad of gender terminology only known to a handful of people on the far left.

“I don’t know if he is familiar with a menstruating person’s body,” said AOC. “In fact, I do know that he’s not familiar with a woman – with a female or menstruating person’s body.”

“None of this is about supporting life,” she added. “What this is about is controlling women’s bodies, and controlling people who are not cisgender men.”

“This is about making sure that someone like me as a woman or any menstruating person in this country cannot make decisions over their own body.”

AOC Defends ‘Menstruating People’

Responding to a headline in which the Daily Mail seemed to poke fun at the congresswoman for using the terminology, Ocasio-Cortez doubled down.

“Not just women! Trans men & non-binary people can also menstruate,” she claimed.

AOC added, “GOP mad at this are protecting the patriarchal idea that women are most valuable as uterus holders.”

Uterus holders?

In another tweet, AOC told critics to “grow up” and get with the new terminology.

“Trans, two-spirit, and non-binary people have always existed and will always exist,” she insisted. “People can stay mad about that if they want, or they can grow up.”

AOC Ripped Over Comments

Conservative author Candace Owens was more than willing to criticize AOC for referring to “menstruating people” in her argument against the Texas abortion law.

“Isn’t it so sad we have to talk about basic biology especially when you are dealing with someone who is a 32-year-old congresswoman?” an exasperated Owens said.

“I’m sorry, did I say woman? I meant to say Congressmenstruatingperson – because we’re not allowed to say woman,” she joked.

Conservative radio host Dana Loesch pointed out you can’t diminish the role women have in motherhood and simultaneously attack Republicans as anti-woman.

“Hard to argue that this is an attack on women when you simultaneously abort their existence with ‘menstruating person,'” she scoffed.

Clay Travis, another conservative radio host, blasted Ocasio-Cortez for her inconsistency.

“You can even hear her in her head thinking about – instead of just saying ‘woman’, she’s thinking ‘menstruating person,'” he said.

Her other scientific observations have been spot on over the years.

AOC’s prediction that global warming is going to lead to the end of the world in 10 years is almost certainly spot on.

Then there was the time an actual meteorologist had to explain the difference between climate change and “just the weather” to the congresswoman when a tornado warning hit Washington, D.C.

“The climate crisis is real y’all … guess we’re at casual tornadoes in growing regions of the country,” said Ocasio-Cortez.

Science – ladies and gentlemen.

AOC’s comments are similar to those made by fellow Squad member Representative Cori Bush (D-MO), who defined mothers as “birthing people.”

“I am committed to doing the absolute most to protect mothers, to protect black babies, to protect black birthing people and to save lives,” Bush told a congressional panel discussing the rising maternal death rate among black expectant mothers.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democrats earlier this year eliminated gendered language – only gender-neutral terms such as “parent,” “child,” “sibling” and “parent’s sibling” would be allowed – from the official House rules.
