Far-left Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) praised President Biden and his administration, saying they have exceeded expectations of the progressive wing of the party.
The New York socialist made her assessment during a virtual town hall late last week.
“One thing that I will say is that I do think that the Biden administration and President Biden have exceeded expectations that progressives had,” AOC beamed. “I’ll be frank, I think a lot of us expected a lot more conservative administration.”
The fellow Democrat also heaped praise on the President for not just offering lip service to the radical wing of the party, but for “active incorporation of progressive legislation.”
“Biden announced that he plans to cut emissions by half by 2030,” she gushed. “I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that two years ago it was almost unthinkable to think that Joe Biden would be making an announcement like that.”
AOC had previously claimed that the world would end by 2031 if we don’t address global warming to her liking. (She was referencing a UN-backed report that predicted catastrophic damage if CO2 hasn’t been significantly decreased over the next 12 years.)
How disastrous has @JoeBiden‘s presidency been so far?

Biden Has Exceeded AOC’s Expectations
AOC’s claim that Biden has exceeded her expectations comes as some Republican lawmakers are accusing the President of quietly incorporating her Green New Deal into a proposed “infrastructure” bill.
Newly-elected Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) penned an op-ed column in which she claims Biden’s latest $2 trillion “infrastructure” bill is a thinly-disguised version of the Green New Deal.
“The plan incorporates large swaths of the socialist ‘Green New Deal,’ which remains firmly planted on the brains and wish lists of socialists in the House and Senate despite both Congress and voters rejecting the bill,” writes Mace.
The Biden administration should really re-name their “infrastructure” package “The Green New Deal”. 75% of the $2 trillion+ bill wastes money on Green New Deal-type schemes.

Despite the praise from AOC, the New York Democrat is hoping to nudge Biden a little further when it comes to that $2 trillion package.
In fact, she’d like to see him spend much more on a proposal that would hardly affect infrastructure.
“My concern is that with the actual plan that they’ve presented, it doesn’t have the numbers necessary to actually do that they say they want to do,” Ocasio-Cortez told viewers.
“So, that’s why we have been on the side of trying to pressure the administration to be a little bit more ambitious.”

Progressives Push Biden Further Left
Don’t scoff at AOC’s suggestion that she’d like to “pressure the administration” to bend to the progressive agenda. She and the Squad have been rather successful in that department.
Just take a look at the disaster that’s been created at the border, the gun control executive actions, the out-of-control spending, reengaging with Iran on nuclear capability, etc.

AOC and the Squad were giddy about the opportunity to “push Biden” if they were able to defeat Donald Trump in 2020.
“I think, overall, we can likely push Vice President Biden in a more progressive direction across policy issues,” Ocasio- Cortez said two months prior to the election.
A month later they unveiled the “People’s Charter,” a plan that seeks universal health care, re-allocation of resources away from policing, canceling student debt, and advancing the tenets behind the Green New Deal.
Politico wrote at the time that the “policy platform is part of a strategy to push Biden to the left if he wins the presidency.”
President Biden, it seems, will continue being pushed to the radical left edge of the party. And without a backbone to stand up to AOC and the Squad, there is nothing to stop them.
AOC is the de facto leader of the Democrat Party right now.
