Whoopi Goldberg spoke out on “The View” on Monday to defend Joe Biden, 80, from claims that he is too old to be president, saying that she is “over” the “ageism.”

Goldberg Defends Biden’s Age

The women of “The View” were discussing the 54 year-old Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) throwing his hat into the Democratic primary race for the 2024 presidential election as Biden’s approval ratings continue to plummet. One of the main factors against Biden has long been his age, as he is set to turn 81 next month.

“I don’t like people who start with this age. I’m really over this ageism,” Goldberg said, according to Decider. “I’m really over it because it’s an insult to people over 50.”

“It’s not, you know, it’s not about — we’re also in the future,” she added. “We see the future, too. We planned for your future. That’s what we did.”

Co-Hosts Chime In

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, who previously worked in Donald Trump’s administration, was quick to agree, explaining that age isn’t the only issue when it comes to Biden’s chances of being re-elected. She pointed out that Biden’s “popularity” is “on par” with that of Jimmy Carter, who was a “one-term president.”

“We all agree that [Trump] is an existential threat to the republic, so I’m dying to understand how Democrats — despite polling that’s bared this out — but even without the polling so take the polling aside, do you really think that the oldest presidential candidate in history is the best person to defeat Donald Trump?” she questioned.

“Careful what you say,” Goldberg ominously fired back.

The far-left co-host Sunny Hostin chimed in to say that she’s counting on the country’s “moral compass” to ensure that Trump does not win in 2024.

“I think this country has a moral compass and they look at at a twice-impeached, disgraced, four times indicted criminal and I think they say, ‘That guy may be old, but that guy’s a criminal,’” she said.

Joy Behar Defends Biden’s Age

Joy Behar, who was absent from “The View” on Monday, has previously used the show to fiercely defend Biden from concerns over his age. Earlier this year, she highlighted the fact that she is only one month older than Biden, bizarrely thinking that this would be seen as an endorsement of his mental capabilities at 80.

“Joe Biden and I are the same age,” Behar said back in February. “Would you say I could not do my job for the next four years? Of course I can.”

“And the haters can go stick their heads in something, because I’m not moving out of this seat,” she added.

When Haines revealed that Behar is so flexible that she does “splits backstage,” the 80 year-old liberal proceeded to lift her leg and place it on the panel’s table.

Behar and Biden were born just one month apart in 1942, with her birthday being on October 7 and his being on November 20.

Goldberg, Behar, and the other women of “The View” can defend Biden’s age all that they want to, but it won’t change the fact that many Americans can see that he is simply mentally incapable of holding the office of the presidency. In the end, they shouldn’t be surprised if Biden’s age ends up being one of the many things that costs him the White House in 2024.
