During President Donald Trump’s hyped interview with “60 Minutes,” detail-oriented observers noticed a very interesting painting hanging in the White House.
The painting, by artist Andy Thomas, is titled The Republican Club, and goes for anywhere from $155 to $1,700, depending on size and print material.
In the painting, Trump is seen with a glass of diet coke while Presidents of the past – Ronald Reagan, Teddy Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln to name a few – gather around the table enjoying some drinks and a laugh.
The artist had been unaware that his painting adorned the walls of the White House, but Republican Rep. Darrell Issa informed Thomas that he would show it to the President.
Trump, upon seeing the painting, called Thomas a couple of weeks ago to tell him how much he liked the portrait. So much so, that he hung it in the people’s house.

Thomas was thrilled, learning of the painting’s whereabouts after his wife showed him the “60 Minutes” interview.
“I was ecstatic,” Thomas relayed to Time Magazine. “A lot of times gifts aren’t really hung up, they’re just pushed in a closet somewhere. To find out it’s actually hanging is really a treat.”

The Daily Beast reports that “art critics” took to social media to tear down the painting as “tacky,” “a travesty,” or “blasphemy.” Well, of course. That’s the only reaction possible for the liberal media to take.
It could have been worse. Far worse. If they wanted a ‘tacky’ painting hanging in the White House they could have used the post-presidency portrait of Barack Obama.

Now that is a travesty.
It’s within the realm of possibility that President Trump walked the “60 Minutes” reporter past this portrait deliberately, to trigger liberals. He has a history of doing such things.
Earlier this year, White House reporters were walked past a portrait of Hillary Clinton on their way to the official announcement of the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
Trump is the Grand Master at making liberals lose their minds.

The Clinton portrait has previously hung in the background of a photo involving Sarah Palin, Kid Rock, and Ted Nugent, a subtle reminder that they were in the White House, and she wasn’t:
Seems like there is always controversy surrounding President Trump and his choice of decor in the White House. One of the administration’s top Fake News Stories of 2017 involved Time, who had falsely reported that Trump had removed a bust of Martin Luther King, Jr. from the Oval Office.
