New Poll Shows That All The Most Popular Governors are Republicans

What do the nation’s most popular governors have in common?

The Morning Consult released polling last week on the popularity of America’s governors, and while New Jersey’s Chris Christie ranks dead last, his fellow Republicans were among the most popular. In fact, every single one of the ten most popular governors in America is a Republican according to their polling (technically eleven, given that two governors are tied for tenth place).

Of course, some conservative governors aren’t as popular in their state. Seven of the ten least popular governors are Republicans:

Keep in mind, however, that this is because Republican governors vastly outnumber Democrat governors. During Barack Obama’s presidency, Democratic governorships became a rarity, with only 16 existing today.

So Republicans are among the most popular governors, with Democrats mainly residing in the middle of the pack. Meanwhile, on average, there are 1,000 people moving from blue states to red states every singe day, so it’s clear what people are thinking when they vote with their feet too.
