Senator Al Franken has been accused of a sexual assault that involved him forcibly kissing model and sports broadcaster Leeann Tweeden, then groping her while she slept as a way to humiliate her.
The photographic evidence speaks for itself …

Franken will no doubt use his comedy career as a means to justify his actions. He even issued a statement saying as much.
“As to the photo, it was clearly intended to be funny but wasn’t,” Franken said. “I shouldn’t have done it.”
Sexual assault has always been a source of comedy for the Minnesota Democrat, having used the topic multiple times throughout his career.
One skit that Franken pitched for Saturday Night Live involved having a character playing Andy Rooney drug and rape a woman. It even involves doing things to the woman while she’s passed out.
“When she passes out, I put her in various positions and take pictures of her,” Franken suggested. That sounds nearly identical to what Franken did with Tweeden.

Franken also recently had footage resurface of him telling baby rape jokes at a 2000 Comedy Central roast of Hollywood director Rob Reiner.
Baby rape jokes. I’m horrified even typing that.
Conservative author Ann Coulter called him out on social media over the “jokes.”
At Rob Reiner roast in 2000, Al Franken did an extended comedy bit @ Reiner anally raping his infant children. He is currently a US senator.

You may, if you’re so inclined, watch the vile comedian at work below …
why is this shocking to anyone? Al Franken made a joke once about a man and his friends raping someones son. These people are sick https://t.co/3wANW3wdt5

It seems pretty clear that his colleagues need to demand a resignation, and Franken should step down without issue based on these new allegations.
I believe Sen. Al Franken’s accuser and her allegations.
Franken should step down as Minnesota Senator immediately #RealTalk #WayneDupree

It doesn’t matter if you’re in Hollywood and get to pretend to be other people as a career. It doesn’t matter if you’re a comedian. It is never okay to grab a woman while she is sleeping. And it’s never okay to joke about the things above that Franken seems to find funny.
