Legendary Actor Robert Davi Tells Hollywood Elites to Shove It, Recites Pledge of Allegiance at CPAC

Robert Davi, an acting icon who began his film career sharing the screen with Frank Sinatra, gave a stirring speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) that blasted his Hollywood colleagues at the Oscars, and then led an epic Pledge of Allegiance with the CPAC crowd.

Right off the bat, Davi, whose famed roles include playing one of the Fratelli brothers in the “Goonies,” a James Bond villain in “License to Kill,” and FBI agent Johnson in “Die Hard,” had the crowd roaring.

He began by telling Hollywood liberals to shove it – he was going to hang out with conservatives at CPAC instead of attending elitist Oscar parties this weekend!

“I got the invitation to come here,” Davi said, “I said to the Oscar parties ‘I ain’t showing up, I’ve got something else to do.'”

There’s some bonus points almost immediately with the CPAC crowd when you tell Hollywood to go pound sand because you’d rather mingle with conservatives.

Another fantastic moment came when Davi mentioned the Pledge of Allegiance toward the end of his speech, and the CPAC crowd stood and joined him in reciting it.

Check it out below, starting at 10:56 …

Davi began that portion of his speech my mentioning the great Red Skelton. Here is some background on Skelton’s version of the Pledge of Allegiance back in 1969.

Via Frugal Cafe:

This next one is a television classic that many of you may have already seen: the late, great comedian Red Skelton on the Pledge of Allegiance on his comedy-variety show. This aired in 1969.

Skelton shares the story of his sage school teacher, Mr. Laswell. His rendition still gives me goose bumps and makes me long for the days when American patriotism was celebrated, not denigrated, by entertainers.

The closing lines are chilling and prophetic.

You can watch those chilling words below …

Davi had previously stirred up some controversy with Hollywood when he suggested the elitists bring illegal immigrants with them to the Oscars.

He also penned an open letter, saying “I ask all migrants, all illegal immigrant criminals and all un-vetted refugees to converge on Hollywood to come to the Oscars and all the after-parties, even those held at the mansions or the Chateau Marmont or anywhere else.”

Davi added, “After all, we in the Hollywood community want to show all Islamic extremists that we have love in our hearts — and what better way to do that than by inviting them along on our most important night?”

Bam!

Davi’s speech brought down the house, and he should be commended for being a voice of conservatism in an industry plagued with liberal elites.
