Country legend Glen Campbell has passed away at the age of 81. After a prolonged fight with Alzheimer’s, he died in Nashville this morning.

Glen Campbell — legendary country music singer best known for his 1975 hit, “Rhinestone Cowboy” — has died after a long battle with Alzheimer’s … TMZ has learned.
Campbell died Tuesday around 10 AM in a Nashville facility for Alzheimer’s patients … according to a source close to his family.
Glen will be remembered for his many hits from over 70 albums. He is perhaps best known for “Rhinestone Cowboy.”
This is a sad loss for country music. He will be sorely missed.
It’d be quite an undertaking to list Glen’s greatest contributions or all of the things we’ll miss about this country music legend. The heart and grit that went into his Oscar nominated song “I’m Not Going to Miss You” from the 2014 documentary film “Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me” will stay with me forever. And, of course, I don’t think anyone will easily forget his duet of the classic ballad “Funny How Times Slips Away” that Glen recorded in his final days with his friend and fellow icon Willie Nelson.
Glen’s family could use our prayers at this time. Rest in peace.
