Fox News Hires Obamacare Architect as ‘Healthcare and Policy Analyst’

In a strange move, Fox News just hired Ezekiel Emanuel as a contributor who will “offer healthcare and policy analysis” for the network.

The hire is a bit of a head-scratcher as we enter a period in which President Trump and the Republican Congress attempt to repeal and replace Obamacare.

Why? Because Emanuel is one of the architects of President Obama’s signature healthcare legislation, and he admitted to lying about the law to trick the public.

Via the Daily Caller:

Fox News announced the signing of Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel as a healthcare and policy analysis contributor on Tuesday.

Along with Jonathan Gruber, Emanuel is best known for being one of the “architects” of the Affordable Care Act.

He currently serves as chair of the Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy at the University of Pennsylvania and is a Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress.

Not only is he inherently biased because of his work on Obamacare, Emanuel has admitted to misleading the public regarding the so-called ‘Cadillac tax.’

He confessed to helping convince President Obama to impose the Cadillac tax on American workers with the idea that it would reduce healthcare costs. Then he joined Jonathan Gruber (the man who said the American voters were too stupid to understand their lies) in convincing the public to accept a huge new tax by telling them it would be a tax on insurance plans rather than consumers. It was not.

We’re all for Fox News offering differing viewpoints – you know, the whole fair and balanced thing – but is it really wise to hire a man that admits to lying to the American people as your “healthcare and policy” analyst?

If that isn’t enough to turn your stomach, here is a video of Emanuel discussing the Affordable Care Act premium increases that will affect more than one million Americans.

Because skyrocketing premiums for hardworking American families are funny!
