President Donald J. Trump announced his selection of conservative Judge Brett Kavanaugh as the much-anticipated pick to replace Justice Kennedy on the U.S. Supreme Court. (RELATED: Five Things You Need to Know About Trump’s SCOTUS Pick).
Communication staffers and activist groups were working overtime to get their quotes out during Monday night’s announcement, which aired on national television at 9 pm EST. However, one organization that was not working was the radical Women’s March.
According to The Daily Caller, the far-left group that sprang from Trump’s election victory blasted out an email to reporters and supporters slamming Trump’s nominee as part of a “patriarchal” and “white supremacist” agenda.
But there was a big problem- They sent the press release to hundreds of reporters prematurely! The email included an “XX” where the name of Judge Kavanaugh should be. And to make it even more embarrassing, in the same email blast, the name ‘Kavanaugh’ is spelled with a ‘C’ instead of a ‘K.’
OMG.
The Women’s March pre-wrote their opposition to Trump’s “extremist” SCOTUS nominee before they knew who it was… then forgot to fill in the name. (h/t: @jhseher) pic.twitter.com/z04Q7CqA01

The group eventually corrected the press release. The “UPDATED” version was identical, except they correctly spelled Kavanaugh’s name and replaced the ‘XX.’
This is what we will see today- Lots of fundraising letters and pre-packaged talking points taking aim at Judge Kavanaugh, who has had a long and distinguished career in the highest levels of government. Kavanaugh is a conservative who knows how to get past confirmation questions, which is why these liberals groups appear to be “phoning it in.”
This Women’s March group was ready to oppose anyone Trump might have nominated. Unfortunately, their communications team was extraordinarily lazy about it.
