Yesterday, we reported that Hillary Clinton had spoken out to whine about director Greta Gerwig and actress Margot Robbie being snubbed by the Oscars for their work on the feminist blockbuster movie Barbie, even giving herself the hashtag “#HillaryBarbie.” Now, Whoopi Goldberg is firing back to shut this down, arguing that there is no such thing as an Oscars snub.

Goldberg Owns Clinton And Other Barbie Oscar Snub Whiners

“Here’s the deal: Everybody doesn’t win,” Goldberg said on Wednesday’s episode of “The View.” “They’re not snubs. And that’s what I want to sort of point out.”

The Messenger reported that Goldberg knows a thing or two about the Oscars, as she won one for her role in the classic 1990 movie Ghost. She’s also one of the few people who can call herself an EGOT, as she has won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony.

Barbie was nominated for best picture and stars Ryan Gosling and America Ferrera were nominated for best supporting actor and actress, yet the world was shocked that Gerwig and Robbie weren’t recognized for their work. Afterwards, Gosling released a statement saying that he was “disappointed” by their lack of nominations, adding that “there is no Barbie movie without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, the two people most responsible for this history-making, globally celebrated film.”

“The View” co-host Alyssa Farrah Griffin, who previously worked in Donald Trump’s administration, praised Gosling for speaking out.

“Barbie grossed over $1 billion,” she continued. “Hello, studios, maybe hire more female directors if you want to produce blockbusters. We’re half the population, we turn out, we want to see these. Also, did they miss the whole moral of the story of Barbie? Of course we celebrate just Ken, not the woman who’s the lead in it and the icon in it.”

Goldberg Doubles Down

“The message of all of that is not lost on me, but one question I have — and maybe Whoopi is the only one that can answer this — when does it become a snub?” co-host Sara Haines questioned. “I know the film, I know the greatness and the money, but that assumes someone else shouldn’t be in there.”

That’s when Goldberg really went in on the Clintons of the world who are whining about these Barbie “snubs.”

“It’s not the elites, it’s the entire family of the Academy who vote for best picture nominations,” Goldberg said. “We all vote for best picture, everybody. You don’t get everything that you want to get.”

“There are no snubs. That’s what you have to keep in mind: Not everybody gets a prize, and it is subjective. Movies are subjective,” Goldberg concluded. “The movies you love may not be loved by the people who are voting.”

#HillaryBarbie

This came after Clinton issued a truly ridiculous statement aiming to comfort Gerwig and Robbie for their respective snubs.

“Greta & Margot,” Clinton began, “While it can sting to win the box office but not take home the gold, your millions of fans love you.”

“You’re both so much more than Kenough,” she continued, borrowing a phrase from the film. She concluded her post by adding the nauseating hashtag, “#HillaryBarbie.”

The meltdown from Clinton and other liberal elites over the Oscar snubbing of Gerwig and Robbie shows once again just how out of touch with reality they really are. It isn’t often that we agree with Goldberg, but this time, she was spot on!
