Whoopi Goldberg Accuses Republicans Of ‘Torturing’ Women By Blocking Abortion

The radically liberal Whoopi Goldberg shamelessly attacked Republicans once again earlier this week, this time accusing them of “torturing” women by blocking abortion.

During Wednesday’s episode of her ABC talk show “The View,” Goldberg talked to her co-hosts about a recent federal appeals court ruling that will allow Texas to ban emergency abortions.

“So, they’re OK with forced childbirth even if it kills someone, because they’re so pro-life.” Goldberg lamented.

Goldberg’s co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, who previously worked in Donald Trump’s administration but has since turned on the former president, chimed in to say, “It sets back the pro-life cause if you’re saying that you’re not even at the bare minimum going to have exceptions for rape, incest and life of the mother.”

“This is draconian and backward,” she added. “There are people who have strong convictions against abortion. I think at a minimum we should be able to unite around the idea that there is always under all circumstances an exception if the life of the mother is at risk.”

That’s when Goldberg really let loose.

“For me, it feels like this is just a power play,” Goldberg said. “You want to make sure that you have control over somebody’s body, whether it kills them or not, and you don’t care whether it kills them. You don’t care that you are tearing this woman up.”

“She didn’t want to have an abortion. She wanted a baby,” she continued. “The baby is not viable. She doesn’t want to go through this and yet you are sitting there allowing this torture to happen. That’s what’s wrong, is you are torturing someone and you know it. Shame on you.”

Goldberg is conveniently ignoring the fact that black babies are aborted more than any other racial group, according to Right To Life Of Michigan. In fact, the abortion rate for black women is more than three times that of white women in this country, and over 900 black babies are aborted every day here.

Goldberg Claims God Is Pro-Choice

This is far from the first time Goldberg, who has admitted to getting an abortion herself when she was 14, has defended the practice. Back in 2022, she suggested that God is pro-abortion because he gave women “freedom of choice” and “made us smart enough to know when it wasn’t going to work for us. That’s the beauty of giving us freedom of choice,” according to USA Today.

When told that God loves her, Goldberg responded by saying, “Listen. I have no doubt, but I also know that God made me smart enough to know that if there are alternatives out there that can work for me, I will investigate them, but I also know God said, ‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.’ I will not make that decision for anybody.”

Goldberg’s Previous Pro-Abortion Rant

Earlier in 2022, Goldberg defended abortion as “a human issue” as opposed to “a religious issue.”

“This is not a religious issue,” she said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “The reason abortion came about: Women in this country lived forever with it being illegal. Women, when they decide something is not right for them, they’re going to take it into their own hands.”

“Getting an abortion is not easy, making that decision is not easy,” she later added. “It’s not something people do lightly! It’s not something you can just do! It is a hard, awful decision that people make. And if you don’t have the wherewithal to understand that, to start this conversation with, ‘I know how hard this must be for you,’ if you’re starting it by telling me I’m going to burn in hell, then you’re not looking out for me as a human being, whether I subscribe to your religion or not. And that is not OK.”

It’s infuriating that ABC continues to give Goldberg a platform to spew her nonsense to America on a daily basis. She can defend abortion all that she wants to, but it isn’t going to stop many courts across the country from doing the right thing by banning the despicable practice.
