Wake up, brush my teeth, brew a cup of coffee, and bathe in the ocean of tears coming from Twitter journalists.
That was my morning. How was yours?
Yesterday, the White House singled out CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins and barred her from attending a public event the President appeared in. The media outcry, which is a whinging tantrum on a good day, was absolutely ear-shattering immediately after. To hear the blue check mark mandarins on Twitter, this was worse than the crimes of Stalin, Hitler, and Pol Pot combined. It was “censorship,” “discrimination,” and a “vicious assault on the First Amendment.” (I’m paraphrasing, of course, but that exact sentiment was prevalent).
Here’s one direct quote from journalist Jonathan Karl:

Well, let’s examine the official story more closely, as Joseph Curl of the Daily Wire has done. White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders released the following statement regarding Collins’s banishment:
At the conclusion of a press event in the Oval Office a reporter shouted questions and refused to leave despite repeatedly being asked to do so. Subsequently, our staff informed her she was not welcome to participate in the next event, but made clear that any other journalist from her network could attend.

Did you notice that? Not only was Collins asking impertinent questions, she also refused to leave the Oval Office – a major breach of protocol.
You can see her rude, and downright unacceptable behavior, here:

Absolutely shameful. But this kind of stunt has been common for CNN in the Trump era, where reporters try to become the story rather than reporting on it. (RELATED: At Historic Moment for Peace, CNN’s Jim Acosta Shouts Something Jaw-Dropping.)
It should be noted that CNN as a whole wasn’t banned from that specific event. Just Collins after her puerile behavior.
If you ask me, the entire network should have its press credentials removed by the White House. There are other, more deserving outlets to cover the news. Let CNN and its make-believe heroes wallow in a pit of their own self-righteousness.
