The identity of the whistleblower behind the Ukraine hoax has reportedly been revealed as CIA officer Eric Ciaramella, a registered Democrat who worked with former Vice President Joe Biden and former CIA Director John Brennan.
Paul Sperry of RealClearInvestigations identified the name of the man suspected of initiating allegations against the President that have resulted in today’s impeachment proceedings.
Attorneys for the whistleblower have, naturally, declined to confirm their client’s name.
“But,” Sperry writes, “the name of a government official fitting that description — Eric Ciaramella — has been raised privately in impeachment depositions, according to officials with direct knowledge of the proceedings.”
He indicates that Ciaramella’s identity was raised as well “in at least one open hearing held by a House committee not involved in the impeachment inquiry.”
Sperry states that knowledge of Ciaramella as the whistleblower is “an open secret inside the Beltway.”

This Is Why Democrats Were Shielding Him
Democrats all along have been very clearly shielding the whistleblower’s identity, claiming it was due to concerns about his or her safety. The media, who have no obligation to keep the name under wraps, have been obediently following the Democrat party’s lead, to nobody’s surprise.
That very identity, however, seems to indicate he was being protected for more nefarious reasons. Who he is and what he stands for undermines the resistance party’s efforts to portray impeachment proceedings as anything other than a charade.
Ciaramella isn’t just a politically neutral, concerned citizen.
“Federal documents reveal that the 33-year-old Ciaramella, a registered Democrat held over from the Obama White House, previously worked with former Vice President Joe Biden and former CIA Director John Brennan,” Sperry reports.

He adds that the ardent Democrat is “a vocal critic of Trump who helped initiate the Russia ‘collusion’ investigation of the Trump campaign during the 2016 election.”
In other words, he bears a striking resemblance to every single Democrat lawmaker pushing for impeachment today. Ciaramella is their golden boy, everything they are, as unhinged and determined to undo an election as they ever were. And that is why they tried hiding him from the public.

This Needs to Stop
As Rep. Mark Meadows points out, the outing of Eric Ciaramella as the whistleblower calls into question the entire genesis of the drive to impeach President Trump.
His motivations are well known to the intelligence community, if not the public.
“He was accused of working against Trump and leaking against Trump,” a former NSC official told RealClearInvestigations.
Ciaramella reportedly huddled for “guidance” with the staff of House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff. Guidance being a suspect word when the true description should be ‘coaching.’

The Whistleblower Appears to Be Projecting
Remarkably, Sperry’s column also points out that Ciaramella worked with Alexandra Chalupa, a Ukrainian-American who supported Hillary Clinton.
Chalupa, you may recall, was a DNC contractor who sought information on Paul Manafort; information she hoped to use to expose Manafort’s links to the country during the 2016 campaign, forcing the issue to be brought forth to Congress.
Politico noted in 2017 that Chalupa had “worked in the White House Office of Public Liaison during the Clinton administration” and then “went on to work as a staffer, then as a consultant, for Democratic National Committee.”
“Donald Trump wasn’t the only presidential candidate whose campaign was boosted by officials of a former Soviet bloc country,” the Politico report reads. “Ukrainian government officials tried to help Hillary Clinton and undermine Trump by publicly questioning his fitness for office.”
Bottom line: Ciaramella worked with an operative who tried enlisting a foreign government to interfere in the 2016 election. And he is now acutely concerned that President Trump asked Ukraine to investigate his political opponent, a specious argument at best?
Hypocrisy, table for one please.
Ukrainian Ambassador Valeriy Chaly described Chalupa’s efforts as blatant election interference.
“The embassy considered her requests an inappropriate solicitation of interference in the U.S. election,” Chaly wrote.
Where was Ciaramella – allegedly – while that was going on?
