If avoiding President Obama like the plague were an Olympic event, then Alison Lundergan Grimes should be on a podium right now with a gold medal dangling from her neck.
During a sit-down interview with the Louisville Courier-Journal editorial board, Grimes – a Democrat candidate for Senate in Kentucky, running against Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell – was asked a very straightforward question – “Did you vote for President Obama in 2008 and 2012?”
With a job approval of just 29% in Kentucky, the President has apparently become toxic in Grimes eyes, as she ran straight for the hills when the question was posed.
Watch …
Grimes flat-out says the election isn’t about the President, later saying he “isn’t on the ballot, as much as Mitch McConnell might want him to be.”
Au contraire, Ms. Grimes. President Obama recently stated that “every single one of (his) policies are on the ballot.”
Additionally, Grimes mentions her role as delegate to Hillary Clinton in 2008, suggesting this proves she is a “Clinton Democrat through and through.”

Grimes however, was also a delegate for President Obama in 2012, suggesting that she is now an Obama Democrat through and through.
