Supporters Get the Surprise of Their Lives When Trump Invites Them to Mar-a-Lago

Trump fans in Florida got a nice surprise from the president this weekend. Jennifer Eady and other supporters were standing on the side of the road waving to President Trump’s motorcade as it went by on its way to Mar-a-Lago.

What happened next, no one expected.

President Trump sent his White House staff to pick up the group and invite them to meet him at his estate! According to WCVB:

One minute Eady was waving a sign in support of President Trump with a group of friends and the next she’s snapping a photo with the man himself at Mar-a-Lago.

“You know, we look at the photos, and we say, ‘Did this really happen?’ And it did,” reflected Eady Sunday.

The Wellington resident said she is a German-born U.S. citizen and a Trump superfan.

When staffers whisked Eady and her friends into the ballroom, she was speechless, kind of.

“He actually rearranged his hair and took his hat off, and I looked at him, and I said, ‘Oh my god, your hair is real!,’ I mean I cannot believe I even said that,” she laughed.

Eady said White House chief strategist Steve Bannon also appeared for the impromptu meet-and-greet.

According to White House deputy press secretary Lindsay Walters, Trump spotted the supporters on the side of the road near Mar-a-Lago Saturday and asked staff to track them down and bring them into the club.

β€œHe wanted to thank them and invited them back. They came back, and he briefly spoke to them, thanked them and took a few photos,” Walters said.

Vice President Mike Pence was also at the Mar-a-Lago estate this weekend, as was New England Patriots owner Bob Kraft, and Marvel Entertainment CEO Isaac Perlmutter. The visit to Mar-a-Lago comes at a time when some are questioning the president’s safety at the White House in light of recent security breaches at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

The scene was a far cry from another Mar-a-Lago trip when a block of wood was thrown at the presidential motorcade. Watch the video Eady posted to Facebook of everyone’s excitement at getting to meet the president:

So cool! Kind of makes you want to take a trip down to Palm Beach, doesn’t it?
