Vladimir Putin Rejects Claims Russia Interfered in 2016 Election

Well, liberal conspiracy theorists might love to hear this news if they misinterpret it as an admission of guilt….

As you’re all well aware, liberals have been keeping their tinfoil hats glued to their heads to the election, blaming Russia for Hillary Clinton’s historic upset loss to Donald Trump. Of course, Russia is just one segment of the diversified batch of excuses liberals have for Hillary’s loss aside from “Hillary Clinton.”

The main part of the Russian conspiracy is that it was hackers backed by the Russian government behind the hacking of the DNC, who then leaked the hacked emails to Wikileaks.

There’s currently a Federal investigation into President Trump’s supposed ties to Russia during the 2016 election – and nothing has been found. Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff said back in March that there is now more than circumstantial evidence that Trump colluded with Russia during his campaign…. then never provided any such evidence after that.  Perhaps he was just jumping the gun, hoping that evidence would surface – but thus far it has not.

Diane Feinstein told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer last month that “she still has seen none that would show collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.” House Select Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes echoed similar comments on Wednesday, stating that there “isn’t sufficient evidence to link Russia to Donald Trump’s election win.”

If Russia did influence the election – Trump had NOTHING to do with it. And would it be surprising if they did try to influence public opinion against Hillary? What would a headline on that story look like? “BREAKING: New revelations that Russians opposed U.S. Presidential candidate who wanted war with Russia.”

But as for the existence of Russian hackers, Putin is now acknowledging – and publicly praising their work.

President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that patriotic Russian hackers may have staged cyber attacks against countries that had strained relations with Moscow on their own initiative, but said the Russian state had never been involved in such hacking.

Putin, speaking to international media at an economic forum in St Petersburg, was answering a question about allegations Moscow might try to interfere in this year’s German elections.

Moscow’s attitude towards cyber crime is under intense scrutiny after U.S. intelligence officials alleged that Russian hackers had tried to help Republican Donald Trump win the White House, something Russia has flatly denied.

“If they (hackers) are patriotically-minded, they start to make their own contribution to what they believe is the good fight against those who speak badly about Russia. Is that possible? Theoretically it is possible,” said Putin.

Likening hackers to free-spirited artists acting according to their moods, he said cyber attacks could be made to look like they had come from Russia when they had not.

Putin also said he was personally convinced that hackers could not materially alter election campaigns in Europe, America or elsewhere.

“On a state level we haven’t been involved in this (hacking), we aren’t planning to be involved in it. Quite the opposite, we are trying to combat it inside our country,” said Putin.

It almost sounds like he’s trolling Congressional Democrats, who will undoubtedly go hysterical over this report. Hey – at least if the Russia conspiracies fall through, Democrats have no shortage of other causes to blame Hillary’s loss on.
