A video has surfaced of former Vice President Joe Biden praising a pro-Confederacy group who prominently displayed the Confederate flag as “fine people.”
The video, which shows the top Democrat candidate for 2020 singing the praises of the United Daughters Of The Confederacy (UDC), was posted to social media by the campaign for President Trump.
In the clip, time-stamped on July 23rd, 1993, Biden states that the group is “an organization made up of many fine people who continue to display the Confederate flag.”
Historians for quite some time have referred to the UDC as an advocacy group for white supremacy.
The clip is especially significant due to the fact that Biden launched his campaign specifically smearing President Trump for a media-generated hoax involving his comments in Charlottesville in 2017.

Biden and the Media Hypocrites
Surely this clip will result in a 24/7 news cycle promoting it as evidence that Mr. Biden supports white supremacists and neo-nazis, right?
Don’t hold your breath.
Imagine for a moment, if you will, that the video clip you watched above was of President Trump saying the very same words that Biden did in 1993. What do you think the reaction would be?
For comparison, remember that the media concocted the Charlottesville hoax – a hoax that portrayed Trump as a racist for supposedly siding with neo-Nazis who attended a rally in 2017 which led to the death of Heather Heyer.
While the media only covered Trump’s “fine people” comments, they were undoubtedly taken out of context.
During the same line of questioning at that press conference, he unequivocally drew a line between the white supremacists and the “fine people” on both sides of a Confederate statue debate at the competing rallies.
Trump went on to say that the press coverage of the rally focusing on some peaceful rallygoers was unfair, and he again drew a distinction between those people and the white nationalists.
“You were saying the press has treated white nationalists unfairly?” a reporter asked.
“No, no,” Trump responded. “There were people in that rally… protesting very quietly… I’m sure in that group there were some bad ones.”
“The following day, it looked like they had some rough, bad people, neo-Nazis, white nationalists, whatever you want to call ‘em.”

Biden’s Smear
Biden used the ‘fine people’ smear in launching his 2020 campaign.
In his official campaign video, he lambasted Trump for saying at the time that “there were some very fine people on both sides.”
“With those words, the president of the United assigned a moral equivalence between those spreading hate and those with the courage to stand against it,” he added.
Except, as we’ve shown, he didn’t. Biden, however, unequivocally stated in this clip that a pro-Confederacy group waving the Confederate flag and supporting white supremacists are a bunch of “fine people.”
The hypocrisy is incredible.
