In an absolutely brutal verbal tongue-lashing, protesters at a town hall interrupted far-left Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) and excoriated the congresswoman for supporting Ukraine and pushing the country to the brink of nuclear war.

The event, which barely had any attendees if the video is to believed, was held Wednesday at Bronxdale High School in the Bronx.

A man named Jose Vega tweeted a video of the exchange in which he claims he and a friend “confronted” AOC for her vote to fund weapons transfers to Ukraine.

The protesters point out that Ocasio-Cortez ran as an “outsider” but, unlike Tulsi Gabbard who recently left the Democrat Party, has joined colleagues in lockstep in their support for Ukraine over the American people.

“Tulsi Gabbard, she’s left the Democratic Party because they are war hawks,” Vega’s co-protester shouted. “You ran as an outsider! Yet, you’ve been voting to start this war in Ukraine.”

“Why are you playing with the lives of American citizens?” he asked. “You’re playing with our lives!”

AOC’s Support of Ukraine

This past May, both chambers of Congress passed a $40 billion military, economic, and humanitarian aid package for Ukraine.

In the House, the vote count was 368-57 in favor of sending the aid.

Ocasio-Cortez, who describes herself as a socialist, voted ‘Yea.’

Journalist Glenn Greenwald noted the curious vote, pointing out that a good chunk of the aid “will go to Raytheon, Lockheed and friends, with a nice pile to CIA for unspecified activities.”

Greenwald also chastised the media for not asking her to explain her hypocritical stance.

That is, until the protesters interrupted her town hall meeting by voicing their displeasure with AOC’s vote on Ukraine.

“You voted to mobilize and send money to Ukrainian Nazis!” Vega shouted. “You’re a coward!”

AOC voted in favor of a continuing resolution that provided another $12.3 billion in aid for Ukraine in September.

Tulsi Gabbard is the Real ‘Outsider’

Vega and his colleague referenced Tulsi Gabbard, the former Representative from Hawaii who proved she’s the actual ‘outsider’ by leaving the Democrat Party.

One of her reasons for doing so involves the “warmongers” currently pervading the party and steering the country toward nuclear war.

Gabbard explained in her departure video that the Democrat Party is “dragging us ever closer to nuclear war.”

In an interview with Tucker Carlson, Gabbard chastised lawmakers for pushing America to the brink of “a nuclear holocaust.”

“Of which they may have their bunkers where they’ll be safe,” she said. “But we the American people will have no shelter, no place to go, no place to hide and face the consequences that could destroy all of humanity and the world as we know it.”

Ocasio-Cortez has admitted that funding Ukraine could lead down a “slippery slope” to war.

“There’s very often a slippery slope when these military aid transfers happen,” she told the Daily Beast.

“There’s a way that it can be very targeted and there’s a way that it can be very indiscriminate,” added AOC. “Who specifically is on the receiving end is very important and what specifically is being sent is also very important.”
