Trump Warns California Governor Gavin Newsom – Fix Your State or I Will

President Trump issued a warning to Democrat California Governor Gavin Newsom, telling him to fix his state’s homeless problem or the federal government will step in.

“Governor Gavin [Newsom] has done a really bad job (of) taking care of the homeless population in California,” the President said in a Christmas Day tweet. “If he can’t fix the problem, the Federal Govt. will get involved!”

As with many cities and states dominated by liberal policies, squalor runs rampant in California.

According to the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Newsom’s state led the nation in the number of homeless people in January of 2018, with an estimated total of over 129,972.

Take Responsibility Gavin

Trump was responding to a video clip shared by Fox Nation host Tomi Lahren, in which Newsom blames the President and the GOP in general for the sad current state of California.

The chief executive of the Golden State wants a program implemented that puts homeless people in homes, then provides them with job training skills and services after the fact.

Newsom claims he is waiting on government certification of the numbers involved, even though he has expressly reserved the right to release the funding.

“They’re not serious about this issue,” Newsom complained, playing politics. “They’re playing politics with it … expect nothing but division coming from the folks at HUD and the Trump administration.”

Trump is Trying to Help California

Newsom’s skewed priorities have contributed significantly to the homeless problem.

Resources used for adding illegal aliens to the state healthcare plan, as well as the state providing millions in taxpayer monies for legal aid to illegals facing deportation, could be better served for the people of California.

Focusing on the President’s tax returns and trying to keep him off the ballot doesn’t do anything for the people either.

Meanwhile, the Trump Administration has announced numerous new programs targeted directly at reducing homelessness in California, has provided the left coast with a roaring economy, record unemployment, and key criminal justice and opioid crisis reforms and legislation.

“Take accountability, Gavin,” Lahren tweeted. “This is your state and you and your democratic cohorts created this mess. You can’t blame [Trump] forever.”

“Step away from the hair gel and get to work!”
