WATCH: Woman Cries Telling Trump How Important Tax Cuts Are For Her Family

Trump tax cuts West Virginia mother

At a roundtable discussion in West Virginia Thursday, a young woman was brought to tears while thanking President Trump for the GOP tax cut plan.

Jessica Hodge was introduced by her husband, Tony, a mail carrier, to discuss what exactly the extra money means to them and their kids.

Through tears, Mrs. Hodge explained that the tax cuts provide much-needed relief for her family.

“I just want to say thank you. I said I was not going to cry,” she admitted. “I just want to say thank you to you for the tax cuts. This is a big deal for our family.”

It was a truly touching moment, which shows the real-life impact tax reform is having on everyday American families, despite opposition from Democrats.

West Virginia Democrat, Senator Joe Manchin, for example, voted no for the very tax cuts the Hidge family are in tears over.

Vice-President Mike Pence recently appeared in West Virginia to champion the tax legislation.

“In just the past month, businesses large and small have already committed to invest an extra $425 billion into American enterprises to expand, innovate, to create jobs, to raise wages for their workers,” Pence said during a visit in late January. “And before this year is out, we believe the typical American worker will see their take-home pay rise by as much as $4,000 a year.”

“That’s real results for the American people,” he added.

Real, tangible results that the Hodges have now experienced. And real, tangible results that Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats have vowed to repeal if they regain control of Congress.

Mrs. Hodge went on to tell Trump that her 10-year-old son would like to be President one day, perhaps inspired by the joy these tax cuts have brought to their family.

“We really support you and this is a big deal because tax cuts are a big deal. Thank you for listening to us and fighting for us,” Hodge said. “Thank you for caring enough to allow us the opportunity to come here and tell thank you to your face, my boys, my little 10-year-old wants to be president one day.”

We hope that if he does, he’ll care about the everyday American people the way President Trump does.
