Trump-Supporting Comedian Terrence K. Williams Said Twitter Sent Him ‘Hateful Conduct Warning’ Message

Conservative comedian Terrence K. Williams said on Twitter Friday, that the social media giant sent him a “hateful conduct warning,” which could affect his ability to tweet. Even worse, he received the warning on the same day he scheduled to visit the White House.

“People want to take my account down because I said Schiff should resign, called out AOC & I support Pres @realDonaldTrump,” said Williams, who is an outspoken Trump supporter, to over 600,000 followers.

Why Did Twitter Go After Williams?

“This is outrageous,” he wrote. “The day that I go to the White House is the day that they notify me that my account may be in possible violations of hateful conduct.  … None of my conduct is hateful. I am a comedian, a conservative Trump-supporting comedian and they want to take me down because people have jumped on the Trump train after watching my content.”

Thankfully the Twitter warning did not stop Williams from attending the black leadership meeting at the White House. Williams also got to meet the President.

“I MET PRESIDENT TRUMP TODAY!,” the comedian tweeted. “Growing up I went from foster house to foster house & i never thought I would be at the White House… let alone speak on the same stage with Pres @realDonaldTrump a man that loves the black community”

What Did Twitter Consider ‘Hateful Conduct?’

One of the tweets Twitter apparently found troublesome was when involved Williams said Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff needed to resign over his behavior during the Ukraine hearings last week.

One tweet that was flagged by Twitter said Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made a mistake in not condemning a woman at an AOC town hall who suggested eating babies might be a good way to fight climate change

This Doesn’t Make Sense

A pro-Trump group later admitted that they staged the AOC event.

Yet, it’s not entirely clear what part of the tweets Twitter had a problem with.

Twitter said to Williams in a message, “We are writing to inform you that certain content on your Twitter account  … has been flagged for possible violations of Twitter’s hateful conduct policy and/or laws of USA.”

Twitter’s “hateful conduct” policy reads in part: “You may not promote violence against or directly attack or threaten other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease. We also do not allow accounts whose primary purpose is inciting harm towards others on the basis of these categories.”

Did Terrence K. Williams do any of these things? Or is this just another case of conservatives being targeted and bullied?
