This isn’t good. A federal ethics watchdog just admonished President Trump for not disclosing his payment to his personal lawyer Michael Cohen for a payment to adult actress Stormy Daniels.
Daniels, if you recall, alleged to have had an affair with Trump back in 2006. This allegation led to Cohen paying Stormy for her silence. Trump later reimbursed Cohen, as the lawyer made the payment using his own money.
Now, the Office of Government Ethics says that Trump should have disclosed the payment on his financial disclosure form.

The Office of Government Ethics on Wednesday said a payment made in 2016 by President Donald Trump’s longtime personal attorney to an adult film actress should have been included on the president’s financial disclosure form that was filed last year.
Trump’s most recent disclosure form, a 92-page document released Wednesday by the OGE, showed the president reimbursed Cohen in 2017 for his $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels, who claims to have had an affair with Trump.

Now, just to make things clear: this by no means indicates that Trump is a lawbreaker about to be impeached.
As time goes by, the Stormy Daniels fiasco keeps getting worse. We just found out that Daniels’s media-friendly lawyer has big IRS issues. Worse, Daniels herself has been accused of looking the other way when an adult film actress was sexually abused on the set of a film Stormy was directing.
The entire sordid affair is just that: a dirty tale that has no bearing on the current government of the United States. The media needs to stop focusing so intently on Stormy Daniels. So far, we have no evidence of any serious law violation.
Without concrete evidence of criminal wrongdoing, Stormy Daniels will not whisk Trump away from the Oval Office. Anything else is just wishful thinking.
