At a listening session with representatives from the Fraternal Order of Police, President Trump promised law enforcement officers that he would “always have your back.”
“As I traveled the country during my campaign, I had the great privilege to spend time with our amazing police officers who risk their lives every day to keep us safe,” Trump said.
“And I made a crucial pledge …” he added. “I will always have your back — 100 percent.”
The Fraternal Order of Police is the nation’s largest police union.

President Donald Trump met with representatives from the Fraternal Order of Police at the White House Tuesday, and during an on-camera press session, he pledged to always support our nation’s men and women in blue.
“As I traveled the country during my campaign, I had the great privilege to spend time with amazing police officers who risk their lives every day to keep us safe, and I made a crucial pledge,” POTUS stated. “We will always support — and you people know that better than anybody, you know me — the incredible men and women of law enforcement.”
“I will always have your back 100 percent like you’ve always had mine and you showed that on November 8th.”
The President also added that he would fight to make the jobs of law enforcement – and the citizens they protect – much safer.
“All of our citizens have the right to live in safety and peace,” he said. “We will work every day to remove the gang members, drug dealers, and violent criminals from your communities.”
“As president, I will work night and day to make America safe again. And we’ve already done a big part of it. You’ll see the numbers come out very soon.”
The Fraternal Order of Police endorsed Donald Trump in the 2016 election, a veritable no-brainer considering his opponent’s full-throated support of the Black Lives Matter anti-police movement.
In fact, Hillary Clinton had several Black Lives Matter activists bash the police as racists at the Democrat National Convention, including Gwen Carr, mother of Eric Garner, and Sybrina Fulton, mother of Trayvon Martin.
During his inaugural address, President Trump said “Our job is not to make life more comfortable for the rioter, the looter, or the violent disrupter,” but rather it is “supporting law enforcement” and “supporting our citizens’ ability to protect themselves.”
In other words, he’s got their back and the backs of law-abiding Americans of any race – not the backs of criminals, thieves, and murderers of any race.
And that has to be bad news for liberals and the BLM movement.
