President-elect Donald J. Trump will be sworn into office in approximately 60 days, and the Republican has promised a bold conservative agenda, intending to drain the swamp that is Washington, D.C.
Well, we are now learning through Vice President-elect Mike Pence, that on his first day in office, Trump plans to begin the repeal process for ObamaCare.
During an appearance on “Fox News Sunday” Pence stressed that “Decisions have been made by the president-elect that he wants to focus out of the gate on repealing Obamacare. And beginning the process of replacing Obamacare with the kind of free-market solutions that he campaigned on.”
Liberals who love the failed ObamaCare law will likely be disappointed to learn that Pence used the word “repealing” when discussing the fate of the health care law. The left had hoped that Trump would just make changes to ObamaCare, but the Vice President-elect has signaled that the entire law will be repealed and replaced with a better market-focused health care law.
Here’s Pence’s full interview:
As Conservative Tribune noted, Trump himself initially had not ruled out simply making adjustments to ObamaCare, rather than a full repeal, but Pence seems to have gone even further by stressing that the law will not remain.
