Trump Mocks Bloomberg’s Endorsement of ‘Sleepy Joe’ After ‘Mini Mike’ Got Destroyed On Super Tuesday

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump had some fun with the news that after a terrible Super Tuesday showing, Mike Bloomberg was dropping out of the 2020 Democratic presidential race and was endorsing Joe Biden.

Trump Rubs It in Bloomberg’s Face

“Mini Mike Bloomberg just ‘quit’ the race for President. I could have told him long ago that he didn’t have what it takes, and he would have saved himself a billion dollars, the real cost. Now he will pour money into Sleepy Joe’s campaign, hoping to save face. It won’t work!” the commander-in-chief tweeted.

After spending hundreds of millions on his presidential bid, Bloomberg abandoned that effort and now vows to help Biden win in November.

President Trump also went after a member of Bloomberg’s staff, Tim O’Brien, a senior adviser to the former New York City mayor and author of the book “TrumpNation: The Art of Being the Donald.”

“Mini Mike Bloomberg will now FIRE Tim O’Brien, and all of the fools and truly dumb people who got him into this MESS. This has been the worst, and most embarrassing, experience of his life…and now on to Sleepy Joe!” Trump tweeted.

O’Brien Fires Back

Trump had unsuccessfully sued for O’Brien for libel over the book. O’Brien did not hesitate to respond to the President.

“Well, @JoeBiden, @MikeBloomberg and the rest of the @Mike2020 team are still here, Donald. And we’re going to beat you in November,” he tweeted.

But Trump still wasn’t finished with “Mini Mike.” The President also lampooned Bloomberg’s withdrawal statement, even quoting it in part.

“Mini Mike, ‘Three months ago I entered the race for President to defeat Donald Trump, (and I failed miserably!),” Trump wrote.

But Trump didn’t troll Bloomberg alone.

Republican chairwoman Ronna McDaniel also chimed in to mock the billionaire.

“We just watched Mike Bloomberg waste half a BILLION dollars – more than $10M per delegate received – to attack @realDonaldTrump. It failed – miserably! #MikeDidntGetItDone,” she tweeted.

Biden had a great Super Tuesday with commanding wins across the South, Midwest and New England as fourteen states helped decide who would be the Democratic presidential nominee, who will go head-to-head with former frontrunner Bernie Sanders, who led in California.

After many wrote Biden off just a short time ago, his campaign caught fire in South Carolina and spread through to Tuesday. He got major help from Pete Buttigieg and Amy Klobuchar, both of whom dropped out and endorsed Biden right before Super Tuesday.
