Trump Mocks Global Warming Alarmists and Obama in One Hot Tweet

It took all of one tweet from President Trump to send liberals and the media into a complete tizzy earlier this week.

But what else is new?

Trump took to social media to mock global warming alarmists – and one of former President Barack Obama’s signature achievements, the Paris Climate Accord – in a glorious message that got liberals, unlike the current weather across much of the United States, quite heated.

“In the East, it could be the COLDEST New Year’s Eve on record,” the President wrote. “Perhaps we could use a little bit of that good old Global Warming that our Country, but not other countries, was going to pay TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS to protect against.”

He then added, “Bundle up!”

It’s not only in the East, such as New York City, which is expected to experience the coldest New Year’s Eve since the 1960s, it is also record-low temperatures across the plains and the Midwest, as well as Chicago, which could tie the coldest temperature high on any New Year’s Day in recorded history.

Of course, the same liberals who will point out any particular weather development – especially warm temperatures and hurricane activity – as proof positive of global warming, leapt at the chance to lecture the President on the difference between weather and climate.

It’s science you see! From the same people who can’t tell you when the life of a baby starts.

But since we’re talking science, let’s look at some of the facts.

The following meme adds some perspective, looking at the average temperature of the Earth from 1996 – when global warming founder Al Gore was still relevant – to 2016, twenty years and at least forty pounds later.

Take a look …

Prove it, you say?

In this article by the New York Times in 1996, reporters declare that Earth has just experienced the “hottest year on record.

“The average temperature was 58.72 degrees Fahrenheit,” the report states, “seven-hundredths of a degree higher than the previous record, established in 1990.”

Now, contrast that with the following article from Air and Space Magazine in 2016:

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, which partners with NASA to produce an annual report on the planet’s climate, says that in 2016, Earth’s temperature rose above the 20th century average of 57 degrees Fahrenheit, making the planet about 58.7 degrees.

What’s interesting to note in that article, is that the alarmists indicate that the 58.7 degree temperature, much like the same reading the Times reported in 1996, is also “the hottest on record.

Science!

President Trump recently dropped the phrase “climate change” from a list of national security threats, something Obama had insisted on adding, because, oh, I don’t know, he possesses common sense?
