President-Elect Donald Trump sent a message to liberal, anti-American flag burners that is sure to spark controversy.
Trump made his comments on the heels of administrators at Hampshire College removing all flags from their campus after safe space-loving snowflakes burned one in response to the election.
Trump tweeted that he believes the act of burning Old Glory should be a crime, punishable by jail time or a loss of citizenship.
Nobody should be allowed to burn the American flag – if they do, there must be consequences – perhaps loss of citizenship or year in jail!

Via Fox News Insider:
After a group of Massachusetts college students burned the American flag to protest the election results, President-elect Donald Trump made it clear that he believes there should be consequences for desecrating Old Glory.
Trump took to Twitter to say that anyone who burns the flag “must” face consequences, possibly loss of citizenship or a year in jail.
Naturally, liberals have gone apoplectic, correctly pointing out that flag burning has been ruled a First Amendment right.
Two things to consider, however.
One, Steve Doocy on Fox & Friends pointed out that more than 50 percent of Americans disagree with the Supreme Court and agree with Trump.
Two, when did Democrats suddenly take an interest in First Amendment rights?
If agreeing with the dissenting side of a 5-4 Supreme Court First Amendment decision is beyond the pale, tell me more about Citizens United.

Indeed, Chuck Schumer, the senior United States senator from New York and member of the Democrat Party, has actively fought and campaigned against the Citizens United ruling.
“I believe there ought to be limits because the First Amendment is not absolute,” Schumer is on record as saying. “No amendment is absolute.”
We’re quite certain Schumer will change his tune now that it’s Trump arguing against a facet of the First Amendment.
It’ll also be interesting to hear what Hillary Clinton has to say about Trump’s anti-flag burning stance. Surely she’ll denounce his attacks on “free speech,” right?
Oh wait … she co-sponsored a law in 2005 that would have prohibited burning or otherwise destroying and damaging the US flag with the primary purpose of intimidation or inciting immediate violence.
The Flag Protection Act calls for a very similar punishment to offenders – a punishment of one year in jail and a fine of $100,000.
The law was co-sponsored by four congressional members – Clinton, Barbara Boxer, Thomas Carper, and Mark Pryor – ALL Democrats!
It’s the Democrat Party’s constant hypocrisy on all issues that helped usher in a new era under Trump. When they blast him for wanting to punish flag burners, remind them that it was their party’s idea first.
