President Trump Declares State of Emergency in California Over Wildfires

A state whose residents are no fan of President Donald Trump is going to be in dire need of federal aid shortly.

That’s because, as wildfires ravage California (the explanation for which among liberals has ranged from “global warming” to “Donald Trump setting the world on fire”), President Trump has declared a state of emergency. The emergency status helps insure federal aid will supplement the state’s ongoing emergency operations. California Gov. Jerry Brown sent Trump a letter yesterday asking him to declare a state of emergency. President Trump responded shortly after, issuing his declaration.

According to The Hill,

The president’s order on Friday allows FEMA to coordinate disaster relief efforts in the areas affected by the wildfires.

Earlier this week, Brown declared states of emergency in Los Angeles, Ventura and San Diego counties, which have been faced rapidly spreading wildfires in recent days.

The fires, fed by dry, unpredictable winds, have destroyed thousands of acres of property and destroyed hundreds of buildings in just a few short days. Earlier this year, wildfires ripped through wine country in Northern California, killing 44 people and creating billions of dollars worth of damage.

Meanwhile over in liberal land, Trump really needs to do something about Cher:

Trump has not yet visited California, though given that he’s visited every single other significant natural disaster site since taking office, it’s likely they’re next on the list.

Cher’s hysterical response shows just how crazy some liberals are when it comes to Trump. They’d rather criticize him than get help for their fellow citizens.

Let’s hope the Trump Administration acts fast to help California deal with these unprecedented fires. Thousands of acres in the state are being destroyed. Dozens of people have lost their lives due to the fire. The destruction is unbearable to witness.
