In a clear contrast from his Democrat rival and other possible Republican contenders for the presidency, Donald Trump announced his 2024 presidential bid and warned that the Biden administration is leading America to the “brink of nuclear war.”
In a speech from his Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach on Tuesday night, the former President uncharacteristically stayed on message and steered clear of making any stolen election claims.
He also addressed the war in Ukraine, setting him apart from both Democrats and Republicans who seem more than willing to push America toward a nuclear conflict by funding their war against Russia.
Trump first accused President Biden of embarrassing the U.S. with his disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan in August of 2021, then for “leading us to the brink of nuclear war” with Russia.
Biden Leading the Nation to Nuclear War
One only has to look at President Biden’s own words to confirm that Trump is right when he says the White House is leading us to the “brink of nuclear war.”
Biden, speaking at a Democrat fundraiser last month, warned that Russian President Vladimir Putin was “not joking when he talks about the use of tactical nuclear weapons or biological or chemical weapons.”
“We have not faced the prospect of Armageddon since Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis,” he added.
Biden’s nuclear Armageddon rhetoric is deeply irresponsible. The President should be delivering the facts to the American people from the Oval Office, not political fundraisers. pic.twitter.com/zYSkZw274v

Republican lawmakers have been all too willing to avoid discussion of the prospects of nuclear war and have instead blindly continued to write blank checks to Ukraine for military aid.
Trump may be the one candidate going forward with the spine to address the reality, however.
“You cannot mention the ‘nuclear’ word, it’s too devastating,” Trump said.
“The Green New Deal and the environment which they say may affect us in 300 years is all that is talked about, ” he continued. “And yet nuclear weapons – which would destroy the world immediately – are never even discussed as a major threat.”
“Something is wrong with their thinking under Biden and the radical Democrats.”
“We have a President who falls asleep at global conferences.”

Tulsi Gabbard Shares Trump’s Sentiments
Former Representative Tulsi Gabbard is one of the few who shares common cause with Trump’s concerns about nuclear war, both issuing calls for peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.
“Be strategic, be smart (brilliant!), get a negotiated deal done NOW,” Trump said in a previous statement. “Both sides need and want it. The entire World is at stake.”
Gabbard, the former Democrat and newly hired Fox News contributor, agreed in her own independent commentary.
“Anyone who cares about the wellbeing of America and the world must push for a ceasefire and negotiated settlement to bring an end to this war,” she said.
Shortsighted leaders don’t understand the most basic tenet of war: it’s unpredictable. What’s very predictable is the suffering it causes. Instead, President Biden has been ratcheting up the rhetoric, recklessly suggesting the world is perilously close to “armageddon” and endlessly funding Ukraine.
The President just asked Congress for an additional $37 billion in emergency aid for Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky just two months ago got a green light from Congress for an additional $12 billion in aid to his country, along with having the Senate pass a $40 billion aid package in May on top of a $14 billion package in March.
On her way out the door, Gabbard torched her party for being controlled by “warmongers” who are “dragging us ever closer to nuclear war.”
I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms, are… pic.twitter.com/oAuTnxZldf

“Rather than looking out for what’s in the best interest of the American people, our national security, our country — they see dollar signs when they look at Ukraine,” Gabbard told Fox News host Tucker Carlson when Russia first launched their invasion.
Now Trump is sounding the same alarm bells with the Biden administration. In fact, their anti-nuclear war stance is so unique that a Trump-Gabbard ticket wouldn’t be the worst idea this nation has ever seen if it wants to avoid a third world war.
