Former President Donald Trump slammed establishment Republicans Senator Mitt Romney and Representative Liz Cheney in a pair of statements released on Monday.
Romney was the subject of scorn at a Utah GOP convention this past weekend when boos and catcalls cascaded down upon him from well over 2,000 Republican delegates.
Trump could hardly contain his glee.
“So nice to see RINO Mitt Romney booed off the stage at the Utah Republican State Convention,” he said.
“They are among the earliest to have figured this guy out, a stone-cold loser!” Trump added.

Trump Slams Mitt Romney And Liz Cheney
Trump, in a later statement, took aim at Liz Cheney (R-WY) for continuing her attacks on him for questioning the election results in the 2020 presidential race.
“The 2020 presidential election was not stolen. Anyone who claims it was is spreading THE BIG LIE, turning their back on the rule of law, and poisoning our democratic system,” she tweeted.

“Heartwarming to read new polls on big-shot warmonger Liz Cheney of the great State of Wyoming,” Trump declared. “She is so low that her only chance would be if vast numbers of people run against her which, hopefully, won’t happen.”
He added, “They never liked her much, but I say she’ll never run in a Wyoming election again.”

Trouble For The Establishment?
Cheney, of course, voted to impeach Trump due to his alleged incitement of the Capitol protests, while Mitt Romney (R-UT) voted to convict him in the Senate.
“I’m a man who says what he means, and you know I was not a fan of our last president’s character issues,” Romney said in his defense at the convention.
A poll in February indicates Romney’s approval rating, despite his contentious relationship with the former President, has held steady.
But a closer look indicates his support is overwhelmingly due to Democrats in Utah – only about one-third of Utah Republicans at the time indicated approval of Romney.
The corporate media plays up pols like Cheney, Kinzinger & Romney because they want to promote alternatives to Trump.
But these people have no support inside the GOP. They’re all headed to retirement like Flake, Corker & Amash.
The Texas special election proved it again.

Cheney was the subject of a recent report indicating she’s been an object of much scorn with her GOP colleagues.
“The past few weeks have seen a cascade of developments that seriously imperil Cheney’s leadership role — and her future within the party,” the Business Insider writes.
“Republican” warmonger Liz Cheney gives Sleepy Joe a fist bump after he delivered a radical socialist vision for the future of America. So glad she’s in the GOP leadership, I guess they wanted to be more inclusive and put Democrats in there too?!? pic.twitter.com/T1qke3TO5b

Cheney took a ton of heat for being caught giving President Joe Biden a fist bump before a joint session of Congress last week.
