Those pesky Russians were obviously at it again this weekend. Perhaps Robert Mueller and Rod Rosenstein should take action?
Watch (below) as the Sunday game at Yankee Stadium in the very liberal New York City had an unexpected moment as supporters of President Trump unfurled a massive banner in right field. It read, “Re-Elect Donald J. Trump” and “Keep America Great! 2020” (RELATED: President Trump Confirms 2020 Re-Election Bid on Drudge Report).
What a scene!

Not even baseball is devoid of politics now. Trump 2020 sign unfurled at the Yankee game during the 8th inning pic.twitter.com/6AAyT6pOBM

It is unclear how Trump supporters were able to smuggle the huge banner into the stadium. However, considering that just 5% of voters living in the Bronx voted for Trump in 2016, we can safely assume they were not local residents.
Yahoo Sports’ writer bemoaned the pro-Trump spectacle in the 8th inning: “For all the cries of “stick to sports” from those who view athletic events as a respite from the world of politics, even the hardliners must admit it’s getting hard to separate the two. It’s especially hard to avoid combining state and sports when fans are openly campaigning at the ballpark. Look no further than Yankee Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Sometime around the eighth inning, fans in right field unfurled a large banner advocating for the re-election of Donald Trump for president in 2020.”
There was no discussion if Hillary Clinton was at the game, but we doubt it. After all, she’s no longer a New York Senator and no longer has to pretend to support local sports teams.
But as this banner reminds us, the 2020 presidential race is already heating up. It promises to be the most expensive and most watched election in modern history.
