Donald Trump just made it official! He’s running for president – again!

And, in perfect Trump style, he’s doing it in the most unorthodox fashion. Trump confirmed his campaign to none other than Matt Drudge of the Drudge Report. Take a look at the Drudge Report’s front page:

Wowza! That’s one incredible announcement. The very top of the Drudge page reads: “**WORLD EXCLUSIVE** TUE FEB 27 2018 10:05 AM ET** Just one year into his presidency, Trump will stun the political world TODAY by announcing he is running for re-election in 2020. Digital guru Brad Parscale will be named campaign manager, DRUDGE REPORT has learned… MORE… The bold move comes 980 days before Election Day, a historical record. Obama announced 582 days out… MORE…”

The 2020 presidential election just began in earnest today. We already know that Democrats are chomping at the bit to take on Trump. Now it looks like they’ll get their chance.

Polling for 2020 indicates that Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is the Democrat favorite to take on Trump. We also know that Julian Castro and John Kerry are also mulling bids, along with New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. Additionally, we know that Ohio Governor John Kasich is thinking about primarying President Trump from the Republican side.

There have been plenty of rumors that Trump may step aside and not run for re-election. After all, he’s the oldest elected president in American history. He already shocked the world by running for the most powerful political office in the entire world without any previous political experience and winning.

Trump broke the political mold already. Why not leave it at that?

Because, apparently, there’s too much still to do. Donald Trump ran for president to restore American greatness. And he wants to finish the job with another term.
