Trey Gowdy Blasts Hillary Over Private E-Mails

Capture

Rep. Trey Gowdy, the Republican firebrand from South Carolina, absolutely went off on Hillary Clinton’s private e-mail account.

Gowdy said that he finds the former Secretary of State’s ever-shifting stories about her e-mail “dumbfounding,” and that her successor John Kerry’s defense of it has been “staggering.”

Clinton’s explanation defies reason according to Gowdy – “She said ‘I turned over everything, and I had no duty to do so,'” he explained.

“Are you kidding me?” he asked.

Gowdy then went on to explain why her explanations have been utterly dumbfounding.

Take a listen to the interview below …

via The Daily Caller:

“She said ‘I turned over everything, and I had no duty to do so,’” Gowdy said, pausing and then asking: “Are you kidding me?”

“What you turned over, half of it, by your own admission, is public record,” he continued. “What do you mean you had no obligation to turn over the public record? That is dumbfounding to me.”

Gowdy also criticized the State Department and Kerry for stymieing the House Select Committee on Benghazi’s investigation into how Clinton and her top aides handled the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya.

He added that the Benghazi Committee is “having a very difficult time getting documents from the State Department and frankly their defense of her has been staggering.”

Gowdy added that while Clinton has yet to even apologize or even admit making a mistake with her private e-mail, he believes that’s about to change.

“I think in a week or two she’s probably just going to apologize flat out for what she did,” he claimed.

In her latest interview with NBC, Clinton twice refused to issue an apology.

Comment:  Do you think Hillary Clinton will ever apologize for her private e-mail scandal?  Do you think she’ll ever confess to breaking the law?  Will she ever be punished for doing so?  Share your thoughts below.
