CNN Anchor Defends Assault on GOP Lawmaker – Calls It These Three Words

CNN anchor Kate Bolduan defended a pair of Texas Democrats actions in which they physically shoved a GOP colleague during an argument on illegal immigration, saying it was nothing more than “Democracy in action.”

Now just imagine for a minute that a Fox News host said this about the Greg Gianforte incident.

Bouldan was referring to a recent story in which Texas state Rep. Matt Rinaldi called immigration officials on illegal immigrants who had occupied the state Capitol and was subsequently shoved by two Democrat lawmakers.

CNN’s Kate Bolduan downplayed a Democrat politician’s assault on his Republican colleague as being “democracy in action” Tuesday morning.

After playing a clip of Texas Democrat Poncho Nevarez saying “I got in his face and I put my hands on the guy, Bolduan described the scene as “in some strange way, democracy in action.”

Take a look at Bouldan’s comments below…

Here is video of the shoving match

According to Rinaldi, one of the Democrats he would ‘get me on the way to my car.’

For his part, Nevarez readily admitted that he “shoved around” Rinaldi, but added he deserved it because he’s racist, or something.

“He’s a racist. He’s a bad person,” Nevarez confessed. “We’re not going to allow people like that to get away with saying comments like that because they think nothing’s gonna happen to ’em.”

“I did shove him around a little bit, I pushed him, because he needed to get out of there,” Nevarez added.

In CNN’s world, shoving lawmakers you disagree with, calling them racist, and warning them that they’re going to “get them” is just “Democracy in action.”

Unless the parties were reversed, of course.
