Conservative presidential candidate Ted Cruz laid the wood to leaders in his own party for allowing a vote in the Senate to confirm Loretta Lynch as Attorney General.
Cruz accused the Republican majority of caving in on the President’s nominee, despite her admissions that she would continue to run the DOJ in a lawless fashion … just like Eric Holder.
He is referring to Lynch’s confirmation hearings before the Senate Judiciary Committee, in which she endorsed the president’s lawless November executive amnesty.
Cruz said that the Republicans could have, if they so chose, continued to block the nomination.

He pointed out that more than a few voters are asking what is the difference between a Republican and Democratic Senate majority when someone promising the exact same lawlessness as Holder will be allowed to get confirmed. He says that’s something each Republican will have to explain to their constituents.
He also adds that not a single Republican can vote for such a nomination and be consistent with their oath of office to support and defend the Constitution.

Here is a portion of that speech…
Cruz warned his Republican colleagues that, “In the next 20 months, we are sadly going to see more and more lawlessness, more recklessness, more abuse of power, more executive lawlessness.”
Will Cruz’s warning to his own party prove to be prophetic, or was Lynch’s confirmation an appropriate decision by the Senate?
