Ted Cruz, Wife Chased Out of DC Restaurant By Crazed Protesters

The ever-tolerant left is back at it once again.

A mob of angry protesters at a D.C. restaurant accosted Ted Cruz and his wife Monday night, shouting down the senator and eventually forcing the couple to flee the establishment.

A group that is known as “Smash Racism DC” posted a video of the hostile attack on their Twitter page bragging that “fascists (are) not welcome!”

Chasing a Cuban-American and his wife out of a public place isn’t exactly smashing racism. But then, these are people that only emerge in public themselves every few weeks after plotting their protests on a laptop from their mom’s basement.

The main source of the liberals angst? Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court and Cruz, subsequent support of an honorable man.

The protesters chanted “We believe survivors!” at Cruz while questioning him on his vote for Kavanaugh, eventually surrounding the table.

The Senator responded as most Republicans have when faced with this type of tense situation – with class.

“God bless you, mam,” he said, later telling his wife, “Let’s go ahead and go.”

Toward the end of the confrontation, after Cruz and his wife have navigated through the angry mob and left the restaurant, a worker appears and tells the group to leave.

Maybe do that when they first start their garbage next time? Or maybe call the police before it escalates toward violence and we have another Steve Scalise situation on our hands.

The real question here is – Why do liberals only ‘believe survivors’ when they hit Republicans with ridiculous accusations? Why is it, when there is a credible threat against a Democrat, these clowns aren’t out interrupting their dinner?

Does Bill Clinton ever get run out of a restaurant by people who believe Juanita Broaddrick?

Or even more recently, why aren’t these supporters of women tracking down Keith Ellison in a restaurant, or shopping mall, or at a gas station?

Ellison, the deputy chair of the Democratic National Committee, has been accused of domestic violence by a woman he had engaged in a long-term relationship with.

She accused him of physical and emotional abuse and, unlike Kavanaugh’s accusers, actually produced evidence in the form of a medical record with Ellison’s name on it.

And yet, that man gets to eat peacefully.

Perhaps that’s because a recent poll showed that only 5 percent of Democrats in Minnesota believe the allegations against him.

I thought they believed survivors?

The Cruz incident is, of course, not the first time prominent Republicans have been publicly harassed by unhinged liberals.

Here’s a brief rundown…

  • Ted Cruz and his wife.
  • Scott Pruitt was confronted by a teacher at a DC eatery.
  • Sarah Sanders and her family were run out of the Red Hen, then chased across the street at another restaurant.
  • Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was chased out of a Mexican restaurant.
  • Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi was chased out of a screening of a movie about Mr. Rogers.
  • Mitch McConnell and his wife, Department of Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, were accosted at Georgetown University.
  • McConnell was again harassed after leaving a lunchtime meeting with a colleague.
  • Steve Bannon, the former White House chief strategist, was called a “piece of trash” while shopping at a local bookstore.
  • Kellyanne Conway was stopped at a grocery store and told she “should be ashamed of (her)self.”
  • White House Senior Adviser Stephen Miller was cursed at and chased out of a sushi restaurant.

It can’t be overstated that this mob violence is a wholly Democrat-owned tactic, initiated by Maxine Waters telling her followers to harass Trump supporters, and motivated by a completely false smear against Kavanaugh.

Will they wait until there is blood on their hands before denouncing such tactics? And where is the media on this? Had this been a mob of angry Trump supporters chasing a Democrat out of a restaurant, they’d be calling for the President and other GOP members to denounce their actions over and over.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders just a few short months ago told leftists, “I think it’d be great if we could calm down.”

It’d be great, but they won’t. At least not until someone gets hurt. How long before one of these crazed individuals decides their right to abortion trumps a Republicans right to life? We already know they don’t value life. It’s not a stretch to think they could justify a violent attack to get their way.
